The Twelve Natural Laws of The Universe - The Law of Love

Posted By Mary on July 7, 2010

We have finally come to the last of The Twelve Natural Laws of The Universe The Law of Love. And this is the hardest of all the Laws to practice. It is also difficult to sum up this Law in one short post, to fully detail every aspect of this Law would require an entire book. However, I shall endeavor to write a brief but inclusive post on the Law of Love.

Why is it such a difficult Law to obey? After all we all know what love means – or do we? Because this Law means to truly love and stand in a position of complete, unconditional love all the time. It means to love unselfishly all people on this planet (and beyond maybe). To not judge, censor or in anyway condemn another person for their beliefs, actions, religion or pathway in life.

The Law of Love is the highest vibrational energy of all the Twelve Natural Laws. It resonates at the very pinnacle of Universal Energy. So, it really does pay to strive on a daily basis to live in complete harmony with this Law.

In every single religion there is reference to this Law. And rather than list them all separately, I will combine them into one saying which I know each and every person is familiar with – do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Simply put, if an action you take towards another person is one which you would NOT like being done to you, then you are not in tune with the Law of Love.

To live in harmony with ALL creatures on this planet we must not forget the so called ‘lesser’ creatures, animals. So often they are denigrated or considered of ‘lesser’ intelligence than the human animal. Yet animals often reach the higher realms faster than we humans. Why, because if you just stop and study your dog, or any animal for that matter, you will see that they offer us UNCONDITIONAL love ALL the time! Yes, we have a lot to learn from the ‘lesser’ animals about true unconditional love and trust. Yet sadly many people, even those who consider themselves animal lovers, do not respect them as they so truly deserve.  (See more on communicating with animals Billie Dean)

We also need to respect and accept all different religions, creeds and pathways, for there is really no right or wrong ‘religion’. For if you study the teachings of all the different religions and the many branches of Christianity, there is a fundamental core value to each one – loving others as you would want to be loved yourself.

Unfortunately, what we see on a daily basis is racist, ethnic hatred, from all sides I may add. I was listening to a debate just the other night, over the rights of Moslem’s in this country to wear the burka and was saddened to hear ‘normal’ Christian Australian people saying “it’s our way or the highway”. By the same token, the Moslem spokesperson wasn’t doing any better in his rhetoric either. Neither ’side’ were in tune with the Law of Love. No wonder we have wars and strife all over this beautiful planet. The fear carried by many here is that the Burka can be used as a disguise for criminal activities, such as bank robberies! Yes, people are so fearful these days that they are using this as a ‘reason’ to prohibit the Moslem women wearing the burka! Of course, there were other reasons, none of which really held one grain of common sense as they were totally and completely based on prejudice and lack of understanding . Neither side came from a position of understanding the true meaning of the Law of Love.

It needs each and every person to start to really live in love and harmony with each other. It is immaterial whether you are Moslem, Jewish, Christian, Hindi, Tao, Pagan or any of the other religions. What matters is that we ALL take responsibility for our actions towards our fellow beings. We ask ourselves questions as to whether we would want someone to start saying to us ‘it’s our way or the highway’ , would we like that being said to us?

On a personal level, we must also look to our own motives when we offer to help to another person. Are we genuinely offering help? Or are we, even at a deep level, offering it with a thought of receiving back some form of benefit ourselves?

When we offer help, in whatever form it may take and I must add here, that help can be something small and seemingly insignificant, it MUST be offered without ANY thought of reciprocation. By so doing you are working in perfect harmony with the Law of Love. And you will definitely receive back help, albeit not always from the person whom you helped initially, it may come (in fact generally does come) from a totally unexpected source. But even the smallest gift to another, given unconditionally, will reap rewards, with interest!

Many people in business feel that as they are offering good service in return for payment, they are living in harmony with the Law of Love. Unfortunately, this is not quite the case. This is in fact using the law of reciprocity, which is NOT the same as the Law of Love. Of course, I am not saying for one moment that offering good service in return for payment is wrong, we all need to make a living and pay the bills. What I am saying though is do not confuse it with the Law of Love – which is giving without any thought of ANY REWARD WHATSOEVER!

As I said at the beginning The Law of Love is the hardest Law to follow, for it requires us to live without judgment, to give unconditionally without thought of reward and to live in harmony with all living creatures on this planet. The easiest way to obey this Law – just stop and think before you act and ask one small question “Is what I am about to do/say something I would like being done to me?” - if you answer no, not really or well……… then stop! For you are not living in harmony with The Law of Love. And the rewards for living in harmony with this Law? You will live a live of peace, harmony and abundance in all areas of your life and you will be filled with the greatest of all gifts – the gift of Love and after all don’t we ALL want and deserve to be loved?
